4worldlovers: Duhovka Preschool is an international Czech-English Montessori preschool and nursery school for children from 1.5 to 6 years. With kindness and respect, our teachers aid the versatile development of every child using Montessori methodology. Our story began in 2008 with one preschool class, today we have two nursery classes and three preschool classes in two locations.


We believe that children deserve respect and trust. Our reward is their excitement, curiosity, and creativity. We are lucky to be able to accompany them on their journeys of discovery and to watch them grow. We grow with them.


Our teachers are AMS accredited Montessori guides who understand the needs of children. At Duhovka children experience the joy of discovering the world, respect, and safety. We support the child’s desire for knowledge, which is hidden in every child.


Czech- and English-speaking children and teachers experience common everyday situations together. English becomes a natural part of their day during all activities including play, dining, their time outside and while communicating with friends.

The Nursery and Preschool are located in a first-republic villa with a large garden in Střešovice, Prague 6. The villa has undergone sensitive renovation where three classrooms were created for children - Yellow Class for nursery children and Blue and Green Class for preschool children. There are three teachers in each class. Children make extensive use of the Montessori garden, which provides them with plenty of natural movement in a safe environment and the opportunity to transfer as many educational activities as possible to the outdoor environment.


Duhovka Preschool is located in Herget’s Brickworks in Lesser Town (Malá Strana), in the center of Prague, right on the banks of the Vltava River. There is only one class in this branch - Cihelná, which is divided, like all our other classes, into Montessori zones according to the type of activity. Children have plenty of space to work, create, relax, and move. There are three teachers in the classroom.
